Paris - September 2011  

In September this year 12 members of the Patrician Youth Centre took to the skies to take part in an exchgange trip to Paris.

Here's an interview with member Darrol McCauley about his recent experience:

How long have you ben a member of PYC?

Why did you want to take part in the French Exchange?

I thought that it sounded exciting to get away to a new country, and expeence Paris with friends - it's different to going away on a family holiday.

What was the highlight of the trip?

There were 2 highlights for me.

Getting to see the Eiffel Tower was amazing and meeting with the French group for the first time.

What's next for those involved in the trip?

Next year the Patrician gets to host the French Group when they come to Downpatrick and we will get to go away with them on a residential!

Would  you recommend the exchange programme to anyone else?

Definately -it's a great experience.  Good craic and you get a bit of a holiday too.  Not only that but it helped me to learn French easier!
